Danby DBC120BLS Stainless Steel Beverage Center Review

The Danby stainless steel beverage center is designed to hold 120 cans of your favorite beverage.  I purchased the unit as an extra space to hold sodas, water, and beer so that I could save space in my big fridge.  I have had it for over one year, so thought it was time to give a review.

The description for this unit says that it is stainless steel, but the only part that is actually stainless is the trim around the glass door.  The rest of the unit is black, which I think looks nice compared to many other mini refrigerators.

The Danby has 3 removable and adjustable shelves made of black wire, and a thermostat with a temperature range of 43 to 57F.  The unit also has a keyed lock that is located on the bottom of the door of the unit.

This fridge holds up to 120 cans, which really is a lot.  I use it to hold bottles and cans, and I have had no problems with the unit maintaining the correct temperature.  Just make sure to let all the oil drain back into the compressor by letting it stand in the upright position for several hours after receiving or moving it – this is standard with all refrigeration systems, so not a big deal.

The adjustable and removable shelves allow for storing different sized bottles and cans, making this unit quite versatile.  I have never actually counted the exact amount of beverages that I have stored in the unit, but it holds a lot – there is definitely plenty of space for your beverages!

The door on the unit can be reversed, which is rather helpful.  Removing the door and reattaching it the opposite way was not very difficult, but it may require more than one set of hands to get it done quickly.

I have very few complaints with this mini fridge, but I did run into a couple of issues.

The lock is a great feature, but it is located at the bottom of the door.  I did not have too many issues with this, but it does make it difficult to get to.

Overall, this unit has worked fine for my needs, and the price is not too bad given its overall capacity.  I believe the newer units have been improved compared to earlier reviews.
